I've been told to come up with a bio about us. The first thing that came to me is the song from the "Sound of Music..." 'let's start at the beginning, a very good place to start.' (I apologize for that ear worm.) But when I think of my sister and I, the Sound of Music doesn't really fit us and the way we roll (we try not to just bust into song, but we do it just to make my niece crazy! (she created this website for us and we love her!!!)) It's more like the theme song for "Laverne and Shirley...'on your mark, get set, let's go now...gotta dream and we just know now'" kinda thing. We are identical twins (yes, really). Yes, I know we really don't look identical. Well, we're 55 so of course we don't look identical, things happen, she had kids, we both like food, nature happens, get my point?

Anyhoo, we are best friends. We have the same trucks (!); we have the same kind of careers (law); we have the same smiles, the same laughs, the same parents (go figure!). We also have the same kind of drive that would tire us out if we ever stopped long enough to look back.

We started this whole thing because I (Lisa) like to design interiors, and I was looking through Instagram posts at designing styles when I saw a reel for painted furniture. We all know how Instagram works: the longer you stare at reels, the more of those same reels pop up. At the same time, I was arguing with my boss that furniture could be painted (I won that argument when I showed him what I saw... this beautiful built-in that the designer had painted a matte black. He then agreed that it was beautiful! (I won! I won!)) I sent the reels to Lynn and said, we can do this! And bonus, it would save those beautiful pieces from the landfills!!! (We couldn't believe how much old furniture was being tossed.) This just put us on this course to try to save the furniture!!

So here we are... We came up with a name, a logo, and now a website!! Whodda thunk!

We grew up in Sussex County, NJ, but we both live in Morris County and have for the past 22 years! We mostly run between our shop at The Mill at Lafayette and our little workshop in Rockaway, and we pick up pieces from just about anywhere in northern NJ!
